Today was one of those day where everything just kinda’ came together…. we had class… cleaned up the house, ran out to a gym class where teacher neglected to show up, kicked a few soccer goals, (admired the liberty and beauty that I am stumbling into…. 🙂   ) Today was magnificent in beauty… with the slight breeze…. the turf where we stood… the trees that did sway, the clouds that gently drift…

We (guys I kicked the ball round with) ran into one of the Senior grads… aka ‘veteran’ who invited us out to another park, where we would eat pizza and played tennis for a few minutes… It was getting late so we head-in…(home).

Looking back, none of this may have seemed so great, but to go through the day… any day and to not return to a lifestyle of addiction or willful disobedience… *phew*… By no means do I make these claims haphazardly or with that ignorant confidence concerning what surrounds me everyday… those opportunities to jump headlong into sin… and the flesh’s innate desire that does not subside with complacency… the burden is only lifted when I submit my hands to the authority of God’s will and seek Him with my whole heart.

The opportunity to sin is everywhere for all of us… but the opportunity to give God praise and glory is that much greater… God gives us the power to choose Him… over sin… the liberty to live contrary to the lust of the flesh…..

To choose Life.

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! Isaiah 52:7(KJV)
